The October monthly reader poll, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com (Rahway Special Improvement District), returns with what’s no doubt the most popular poll among readers:

What's your favorite pizza in Rahway?

The pizza poll goes back quite a while on RahwayRising.com, being one of the first polls we ever did. Nancy’s Towne House at Lewis and Main streets has been a regular champion over the years but lately the poll has become a real back-and-forth tussle. While Nancy’s is the defending champion from the 2021 favorite pizza poll, it’s gotten some stiff competition of late. Il Forno a Legna, also at Lewis and Main streets, has shared the title in recent years. Il Forno also has done well in a few of our other polls, including winning Favorite BYO Restaurant and Favorite Restaurant since coming into town just a few years ago.

The two have really separated themselves from the field but of course, there are plenty of other options in Rahway when it comes to pizza. Nunzio’s II on West Grand Avenue is one of the few other joints that has won the poll in the past but there are plenty of longtime  establishments that have been around while, from Plum Tomato on St. Georges Avenue and Tony’s Pizza Cafe on Broadway to Brooklyn Pizza on Race Street and Michelino’s on East Milton Avenue.

The poll will be open for the next few weeks with results posted by the end of October. As always, I’m open to hearing suggestions on other polls for the future, and of course, if I’ve missed any other pizza joints as options in the poll to vote for, please do let me know and I’ll add them ASAP.
