Poll results: Favorite SID event of 2022

Among all the events sponsored by the Rahway Special Improvement District (SID), one came out one top in the latest reader poll.

The January reader poll, sponsored by the Rahway Special Improvement District (SID), a.k.a., RahwayIsHappening.com, garnered nearly 200 votes, finishing the month with a more than respectable 198 vote tally.

The final results were somewhat split. While there was no majority among the vote getters, one of the options did receive a plurality of votes, heading off a few  of the others that were not far behind in the end result. Check out the final tally:

  2. Rahway Arts Fest — 18 percent (36/198)
  3. Cherry Street Soiree en Blanc — 14 percent (27/198)
  4. Mayor’s Concert Series — 10 percent (20/198)
  5. Other — 8 percent (15/198)
  6. Soup Stroll — 7 percent (13/ 198)
  7. [TIE] Live at the Paseo: Friday Night Music Series — 5 percent (9/198)
  8. [TIE] Tree Lighting/Winter Wonderland — 5 percent (9/198)
  9. Music Festival for Restaurants — 3 percent (5/198)
  10. Arts District Park: Saturday Evening Music Series — 2 percent (3/198)
  11. Munch Madness — 1 percent (1/198)

While almost a dozen events garnered support in this month’s poll, there were three events that were listed among the options but did not receive any votes: What’s the Word, a monthly spoken word and poetry slam; the downtown Bohemian Festival; and, Rahway is Live: Junction Funktion.
