A revised second phase of Meridia Brownstones could come before the Redevelopment Agency as early as next month.
A developer familiar to Rahway has purchased the former St. Mark’s church property and is expected to bring forth a proposal for the site early this year.
Redevelopment of the former St. Mark’s Church hasn’t progressed and there may be some question whether proposed townhomes could still work for the site.

City Council moved forward with the Arts District Redevelopment Plan, introducing an ordinance to accept the plan and amend the city’s zoning map.
Planning Board members generally endorsed the Arts District Redevelopment Plan with few questions before unanimously recommending the concept during its meeting tonight, held via Zoom.
Sixty units around the former St. Mark’s Church property, another 76 units as part of a mixed-use development at a long-underused property downtown, and pocket parks and murals are among the major components of a new arts-focused redevelopment plan for the northern end of downtown.
