The results of the monthly reader poll for November, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com (Rahway Special Improvement District), especially for No-Shave November as well as Movember, are:
What’s your favorite barber shop in Rahway?
- Shulton Barber Shop — 63% (69/109 votes)
- Rahway’s Finest Barber Shop — 13% (14/109)
- Barber Gods — 9% (10/109)
- Other — 6% (6/109)
- T-Liners Barber Shop — 5% (5/109)
- Main Street Barber Shop — 3% (3/109)
- Bryan’s Barber Shop — 2% (2/109)
The November poll eclipsed 100 votes, with most of them coming in for the winner of the poll. Shulton Barber Shop on St. Georges Avenue jumped out to quite a big lead early on in the voting and coasted the rest of the month on its way to the very comfortable victory, outpacing all the other contenders combined.
Rahway’s Finest Barber Shop on Irving Street (formerly of East Cherry Street) came in a distant second with 13 percent of the vote, followed by Barber Gods on East Milton Avenue with 9 percent.
In previous polls, the “Other” option typically brings up the rear with a smattering of votes but in this came ranked fourth, with 6 percent. Feel free to share your feedback on what your votes for in that selection within the comments. T-Liners Barber Shop on East Grand Avenue followed closely behind with 5 percent. Filling out the field was Main Street Barber Shop (on Main Street, of course) with 3 percent, and Bryan’s Barber Shop at West Grand Avenue and Church Street. with 2 percent of the 109 votes.
