…then you’ll like this month’s reader poll.

The July reader poll, sponsored by RahwayIsHappening.com (the Rahway Special Improvement District), follows a similar path to the March reader poll, which highlighted several featured coffee drinks at local java joints. In this month’s poll, there will be featured drinks at a number of watering holes around Rahway.

In case you missed this feature by New Jersey Monthly in May about Wet Ticket Brewing’s “Tastes Like Summer” Watermelon Wheat beer, it entails splitting and juicing more than 100 watermelons into a vat of fermenting wheat beer. Wet Ticket isn’t the only beer featured this month as Rocky’s Bar & Grill serves up Golden Road Mango Cart and Firehouse Eatery & Pub puts up Guinness as their featured drinks.

Two places offer up traditional summer frozen treats, The “World Famous” Waiting Room with its “Best Frozen Piña Colada Ever,” and Flynn’s Pub House with a Extreme Peach Frozen Margarita.
Then there are the cocktails. The Lounge at Watt serves up the classic, Moscow Mule, typically a mixture of vodka, ginger beer and lime juice. The Irving Social has “Shook Me All Night Long,” and there’s la Mujeres at La Chula and Boss Lady by Cubanu, along with Jeff Juice at Romero’s Tavern 1947.

There will be more options to come as well from Luciano’s Ristorante & Lounge and Butch Kowal’s Tavern. Stay tuned!

The poll will be open throughout July so you’ll have opportunities to swing by these places and try out the featured drinks before the poll closes. We’ve made it easy on you too as some of the options in this month’s poll overlap with the June poll featuring your favorite outdoor dining spots, so you can swing by and try a drink al fresco.

As always, our polls are completely unscientific. But also, results will be posted by the end of the month. Remember, you can only vote for one choice among the options. And, votes are limited to one per IP address. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and try some of these drinks so you can make an informed decision!
