Catching up on a few openings in recent weeks…

Il Forno A Legna, 1464 Main St., has been open for several weeks but a formal ribbon cutting is scheduled Friday.

Il Forno A Legna.from across street.July2018After several months of renovations, the wood oven pizza parlor has taken over the space at the corner of Lewis and Main streets, across the street from longtime staple Nancy’s Town House, and Cubanu. The corner spot had been the home for many years of Niece’s Pieces, a home furnishings and gift shop.

FYI, it’s a BYO and Il Forno A Legna literally translates to The Wood Oven in Italian.

Juice Hub opened last week. It’s located in the retail space within the Meridia Lafayette Village, a 116-unit apartment complex at 1555 Main St. (at the corner of Main and Monroe streets, across from Luciano’s).

 

Just Plain Daves Coming Soon East CherryJust Plain Dave’s has relocated from 956 St. Georges Avenue to 78 E. Cherry St. The eatery announced and closed its former location in July and officially opened in its new location last week. Just Plain Dave’s had been at the St. Georges Avenue space, formerly occupied by Valentina’s, since 2014 after almost eight years in Clark and underwent an ownership change in recent years. In the new location, they expect to have an expanded selections of coffee, deli, dessert and baked goods, and expect to have evening hours plus a catering menu in the future.

The East Cherry Street space had seen some turnover in recent years after being occupied for a long time by Big Belly Deli. Just Plain Dave’s had moved in 2014 to the St. Georges Avenue space, formerly occupied by Valentina’s, after almost eight years in Clark.

Urban Air Adventure Park is coming to Delco Plaza at 1600 St. Georges Ave., which straddles of the border of Rahway and Avenel. The former Pathmark space has approval for a 24-Hour Fitness but at the time of approvals, the northern half of the building was have one or two more retail tenants eventually.
