East Cherry Street plan proposes 43 units
One East Cherry Street building would be demolished to pave the way for a pedestrian promenade connecting Lewis Street but another would be renovated and added onto under a concept plan presented to the Redevelopment Agency last week.
City Council approves building’s sale
City Council unanimously approved the sale of the Police Assistance Center building to the Parking Authority. The East Cherry Street property eventually will be razed as part of infrastructure improvements and reconfiguration related to a proposed mixed-use development and extension of Monroe Street.
