The Soup Stroll takes place this month with participating restaurants offering a taste of featured soups each Saturday, just as they did last January. Also, there were plenty of music events sponsored by the SID, with performances all over downtown from April through October.

The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series kicked off in July with Tito Puente, Jr., and continued through August featuring Sheila E. and the E Train, AB Salute House, The Soul of Broadway and The Company Men, and wrapped up with Ruben Studdard.

Certainly, the Saturday Evening Music Series in Arts District Park and Live at the Paseo, a Friday night music series, brought weekly performances  downtown. Meanwhile the Rahway Arts Fest in September featured an array of performance artists showcasing their talents, including an aerialist, contortionist, dancers, musicians, and more.

Of course, food-related events were a plenty too,  like Cherry Street Soiree en Blanc and Munch Madness. Another event combined food and music. The Music Festival for Restaurants featured local bands coming together for a day of music to support Rahway restaurants.

So, let’s see what your favorites were, vote in this completely unscientific poll (which is limited to 1 per IP address). Results will be posted at the end of January – stay tuned!
