The completely unscientific poll started out a little slow with only about a dozen or so votes after the first week but then picked up as the month progressed. But it wasn’t until about the last week to 10 days of the month when a flood of votes really started pouring in – mostly for Travel Skate Shop.

.Travel Skate Shop on East Cherry Street all but ran away with the latest reader poll, “What’s your favorite clothing shop in Rahway?,” sponsored by RahwayIsHappening (Rahway Special Improvement District).

What’s your favorite clothing shop in Rahway?

  1. Travel Skate Shop — 89% (290/327 votes)
  2. Millie & Joy — 5% (16/327)
  3. RV — 3% (9/327)
  4. Inspirations — 1.22% (4/327)
  5. Blue Line Uniforms — 0.917% (3/327)
  6. The Lite House — 0.611% (2/327)
  7. [TIE] Liberty Harley-Davidson — 0.305% (1/327)
  8. Klasik Boutique — 0.305% (1/327)
  9. Other — 0.305% (1/327)
Travel Skate Shop

In the end, it turned into a race for second place after Travel Skate Shop gobbled up almost 9 out of every 10 of the 327 votes cast. It was Millie & Joy on Westfield Avenue that slotted into second place, with 5% of the vote, a few votes ahead of RV on East Cherry Street. After the top three, there was a bit of a bunch-up among the other participants. Inspirations was 4th followed closely by Blue Line Uniforms, and The Lite House.

At the back of the back was a logjam with several options each registering one vote apiece: Liberty Harley-Davidson and Klasik Boutique. There was one vote for “Other,” so if anyone knows or would like to share who that was, feel free to do so in the comments.

Thanks to all who vote! Look for a new poll to be posted early in May.
