Now you can listen to RahwayRising.com

When this site started 13 years ago, if it was anything, it was about experimenting. And redevelopment, of course.

News and journalism have changed immensely in the last 20 years. RahwayRising.com started as a hyperlocal site specifically devoted to the news of redevelopment. Blogs at the time had become a popular and simple way to distribute information.

And now, podcasts have become as simple to create as blogs were 15 years ago. There’s a podcast for any and every topic it seems and now redevelopment in Rahway can join the list. The share of time Americans age 13 and older spend with podcasts as a percentage of all their audio listening has tripled from just 2 percent in 2014 to 6 percent this year, according to Edison Research.

So, with more people listening to podcasts, whether at home or on the go, you can now listen to RahwayRising.com in addition to reading it. It’s just another experiment for the site, so we’ll see how it catches on. We’ll also see whether I’ll have the time to do it a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, and what you might be looking to get from it. I’m also open to what the format will be. For the moment, you can expect a rundown of blog posts and other recent news, a look at upcoming events and news, and down the line, maybe an occasional guest or listener/reader feedback and such.

There’s also a place for you to get involved. Check out RahwayRising’s Anchor.fm page and look for the “Message” button. There, you can leave a voice message about what you think of the podcast, the blog, or whatever’s on your mind. You can also support the podcast on that page, or find it on Spotify.

Don’t forget, you can support RahwayRising.com by becoming a Patron.
