The Redevelopment Agency held off on designating a redeveloper for the Center Circle site after the property’s owner requested a delay in order to work with three interested developers.
The developer of the former Wheatena property on Elizabeth Avenue paid $4.7 million for the collection of parcels where 489 rental units are planned, according to property transaction records.
Demolition of the former Wheatena and Quinn & Boden buildings on Elizabeth Avenue is expected to begin in the next week or two and should last nearly three months.
