Dornoch interested in selling some properties

As efforts continue to secure financing for The Savoy, Dornoch is interested in liquidating some of its properties on Main and East Cherry streets.

City Administrator and Redevelopment Director Peter Pelissier, in briefing Redevelopment Agency commissioners earlier this month, said he would try to set up a meeting between Glen Fishman of Dornoch and Rafael Ortiz to gauge interest in selling 65 E. Cherry St., which has been boarded up since a fire about four to five years ago.

Ortiz owns several downtown properties, including 78-82 E. Cherry St., and said he was a bidder for the property before the Parking Authority sold it to Dornoch. Ortiz said he might be interested if the price is right.

As reported by Rahway Rising, Dornoch received approval from the Planning Board in November 2007 for ground-floor retail space and for-sale apartments on the upper floors.

  1. What else is "new" their flat broke, that place is worth 100k at best. What Dornoch needs is new business plan, the "old" kara people are not cutting it, they think the market is the same as in 2004.
