The Redevelopment Agency last week agreed to amend a redevelopment plan that would allow a developer to essentially swap Main Street storefronts and ultimately bring an upscale liquor store/wine shop downtown.

‘Destination’ retail tenants sought for Carriage City

The ground-floor retail and commercial space at Carriage City Plaza (CCP) has gone through a few tenants since it was constructed in 2008. Original plans (pre-recession) had a restaurant in mind. Eventually, a dry cleaner and coffee shop came and went and the lone tenant among several spaces is an Edward Jones investment office.

Poll results: An average of C+, with a lot of A’s

At least half of the voters in our latest poll would grade Rahway’s redevelopment at a B or better, while almost 30 percent grade a D or worse. About 1 in 8 voters awarded it an “incomplete.” Check out the completely unscientific results:
