The City Council on Monday night approved an amended bond ordinance, by an 8-0-1 vote, increasing the authorized borrowing for the Arts District project from $8.5 million to $10.1 million. There was no comment from council members or the public; 6th Ward Councilman Samson Steinman abstained.
$200,000 bond ordinance that includes funds for the demolition of 65 E. Cherry St. and the installation of a fence surrounding The Savoy site and a $1-million bond ordinance that includes $165,000 for the police assistance center on East Cherry Street.
