The 2.54-acre property at Bramhall Road and Jensen Avenue, near the Colonia border, was acquired for $1.7 million. Assessed at almost $560,000, the property paid about $25,000 in taxes last year.

I stumbled upon this post on Chowhound looking for some input on Tauros Tapas Grill on Monroe Street. I haven't been there yet but I know a few readers have, in case anyone wants to share their opinion on that board.

I've been to Tauros Tapas a few times and have always had a good meal. You can eat in the front bar area (ideal if you want to watch Spain or Portugal's national football team play), or there is a new restaurant seating area in the back.
Of course we have a horse farm..where do you think the meat for the tapas comes from. Haha, j/k
I grew up here and boarded my horse here. When it inevitably went up for sale after the owners passed away I was so depressed thinking about my childhood being knocked down and new homes being put up instead. The farm has an amazing history that I won't go into detail about now, but needless to say I was THRILLED when I found out this was saved by the county!!!
Iam so happy to see the old Getts farm is being saved. The last people to own it were Grace and Bill Wolf. I first rode there on July 22 1942, when it was Rolling Acres Ranch, run bya few Rahway police men Jim Albers. Later my friend Margie and I took care of the horses for a dealer, for a couple of years, happy days gone by Rozi
